in: second-best in the world among in-flight magazines

Among all the in-flight magazines in the world, LAN’s in magazine – in its first year – came in second place in the category of “Best in-flight magazine” in a competition held by the WAEA (World Airlines Entertainment Association), the airline industry’s most important organization with respect to passenger entertainment.

Held by the WAEA, the Avion Awards recognize excellence in several categories of airline entertainment (including audio, video, magazines and interactive media).

In September 2005, in the competition’s 17 th edition, a jury of 25 international experts from the editorial, television, movie, record and advertising industries evaluated the in-flight entertainment infrastructures of the world’s 35 leading airlines. The criteria included originality, suitability, value added, and balance.

LAN has reason to celebrate: Our in-flight magazine, in, won the Gold Medal for Best Design, New Magazine at the 2004 Ozzie Awards for Magazine Design Excellence held recently in New York City. The awards are presented annually as part of Folio:Show, one of the most important gatherings of editorial and magazine design professionals from around the world. A prestigious jury of international experts chose winners in a variety of categories, from publications both small and large. We hope you enjoy the magazine!.
